My Samsung side by side Model #: RS267LASxH refrigerator is not cooling. The freezer part works fine. The outside thermometer (on the door) does not seem to read the temperature on the inside accurately and sometimes blinks on and off. On a couple of occasions I have noted a possible water leak from the front right corner of the refrigerator. I was wondering what the cost would be to have this looked at and when it could be done. Thank you!

The dishwasher (Whirlpool) will not stay running. I push the door in and it starts to run, but then stops... I suspect it is the locking mechanism - needs to be adjusted or replaced. Thanks

Before attempting any dishwasher repairs, make sure that you disconnect the appliance from the power source. Also, take care to avoid injury from the sharp edges of the appliance. If your dishwasher refuses to work, make sure that it is receiving power from a power supply. Look for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. The cause could also be a defective door switch. This will have to be replaced. There could also be a problem with the wires, not just the main wiring, but also the wiring to the timer, and the door switch. A faulty timer may also cause the machine to not work at all. Timers will have to be replaced if they are defective.
Cleaning problems are common with dishwashers. Most of these are caused when the machine does not receive enough water to wash the dishes. This is usually linked to a defective water inlet valve. You can find this valve at the bottom right or left of the appliance. Cleaning problems may also be caused because of clogged internal filters. This is especially true of dishwashers that have filters which need periodic cleaning. Your product manual will detail instructions for cleaning the filter. Look for a clogged drain valve that allows water to drain out while the wash cycle is on. Dishwasher repairs often involve a failure of the water to enter the dishwasher. This is again caused by a defective water inlet valve. Replace this, and the problem should correct itself. If your dishwasher fails to drain itself properly, then look for a clogged drain line. You may find the clog at the location where the drain line is attached to the garbage disposal unit or your main drain line
To avoid calling dishwasher repair services regularly, take care to maintain your dishwasher. Clean the exterior of the appliance with a damp sponge, and make sure that filters are cleaned regularly. If the dish racks begin to corrode or the plastic coating begins to wear ff, use a dishwasher repair kit to patch these areas. Use only dishwasher specific dish detergents. Make sure that the water is hot enough to clean the dishes properly. A temperature of 120 degrees F is considered ideal. For water to be heated to the ideal temperature, let it run for 30 seconds before you turn on the dishwasher. We can help you locate professional dishwasher repair services in Dallas.
