I have two Kenmore Refrigerators that need help. The one in the garage is not cooling, or freezing...but is is blowing out air. The one in the house, the water dispenser slowly has stopped. I replaced the filter and the water is dispensing again, but VERY slowly. Any suggestions? Is there a Fee for just coming out to look at both refrigerators?

Trying to conduct oven or stove repairs on your own when you haven't been properly trained is extremely dangerous. Ideally, your oven and stove repair should be left to licensed and qualified professionals who have been trained to repair these appliances in a safe environment. In the case of an electric oven, the voltage from even a small power outlet can be far beyond the voltage needed to kill a person. Here are a few simple tips for you to get your oven or stove started again. Remember to switch off all power to the appliance or in the case of a gas stove or oven repair, make sure that the gas supply is turned off. An oven that doesn't work at all may not be receiving enough power. Check the power outlet by using some other appliance. Look for a blown fuse or circuit breaker. The wiring at the back of the oven or stove, or the main wire connection can get burnt, breaking off the connection. In such cases, the power cord and the terminal block may have to be replaced.
It's always best to trust oven and stove repairs to a licensed and trained professional. A licensed repair man will be trained to repair your electric or gas stoves and ovens in a safe environment. Remember that electric stoves ovens and cooking ranges usually have more than enough power to cause serious injury or death. There are however a few simple steps you can take to understand what's wrong with your stove or oven, and get it functioning again. Remember to cut off all power supply to your electric appliance, and shut off the main gas supply in case of a gas stove or oven. An appliance that does not turn on could be the result of a blown fuse or circuit breaker or a problem with the wiring connection. Call an electric stove or repair man to replace the wiring. Ovens over a period of time can suffer from burnt out baking and boiling elements. Heating elements usually can last for many years, although there are no guarantees. These elements can't be repaired, and if they are burnt, replacement is the only option. Stove burners that can't be adjusted no matter how you turn the knob, will need replacement of the switch.
To avoid the need for expensive oven repairs and stove repairs, clean your appliances regularly. Clean the buttons and knobs as well as the surface of the control panel with a non abrasive cleaner. Clean carefully around burners and elements, and look for any signs of blisters on burner coils. Clean the burner drip pans, and replace them every 2 years.
